Improved Progressives
We use the very best progressive lenses available today. We have found that there is a real difference in the quality of the optics depending on what "brand" of progressive lenses are used in your glasses. More expensive lenses have less distortion which makes these lenses easier to wear and provide much wider reading areas.
After twenty years in business we know that many patients had problems with their first few pairs of progressives. This was usually due to poor quality lenses that had high distortion and very little reading room. Lenses that offer less distortion and better reading zones will cost more, however the optics are vastly better.
Another cause for progressive non-adapts is poor fitting. If a progressive lens is not centered in front of the eye properly the vision will not be as clear as possible. We use a digital pupilometer for all progessive fittings assuring a proper fit.
Chain opticals and discount independent practices use a lower wholesale cost lens keeping their profits are as high as possible at the expense of YOUR vision. Chain stores have no individual control on ordering the best lens that is appropriate for your Rx.
